Saucy Rice
Ingredients :
- Rice - 1 cup (soaked and washed properly)
- Cauliflower - 20 gms - chopped
- Peas - 20 gms
- Onion - 1 - diced and separated
- Tomatoes - 2 - chopped
- Garlic cloves - 5 - paste
- Oil - 1 table spoon
- Red Chilli Flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green Chilli Flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Kashmiri Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Maggi Hot & Sweet Tomato Ketchup - 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - as per taste
Cooking time : 20 minutes
Serves: 2 persons
Recipe:
1. Heat oil in a Pan and add the garlic paste
2. Then add the diced onions and stir fry
3. Add the cauliflowers and peas together and fry for 2 minutes
4. Now add the chilli flakes and salt and let them fry for another 2-3 minutes
5. Cover the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes
6. Now add Mayonnaise, Maggi Ketchup, Kashmiri red powder and mix all of them.
7. Then add milk and let it cook for 5 minutes , till the vegetables are soft.
8. Now add oregano and stir.
9. Add the rice and mix properly
10. Add tomatoes and 2 cups water and mix
11. Cover the lid and let the rice cook till soft for 10 minutes.
12. Put the stove off when you can see little water left in the rice.
